Since 1950, North Star Ice Equipment has led the world in the design and manufacture of high-capacity, industrial flake ice makers. North Star’s enclosed vertical drum design and expert construction result in a low stress, low wear, and low maintenance ice maker that is simple to install and operate. The various ice makers are available in three stainless steel configurations – the Elite, Plus and Standard — for use in all types of food processing. 

North Star Ice Equipment has built a worldwide reputation for the design and manufacture of high-capacity, industrial flake ice machines.  The company’s primary product line is a drum ice maker with a vertical stationary evaporator, which is available in six models with capacities that range between 2 and 56 tons per day.  Machines can also be combined to increase capacity.  North Star ice makers are well known for their heavy-duty construction and dependability.

North Star liquid ice makers are available in five models ranging in capacity from 18.6 to 158 tons (16.9 to 143 MT) of liquid ice per 24 hours (based on an ice slurry of 25% ice and 75% water). All North Star liquid ice makers are backed by North Star’s lifetime evaporator warranty.
