Vacuum Bagging

Vacuum bagging begins with a sheet of flexible transparent material such as nylon or Mylar plastics being placed over the lay up on the mold and sealed. Then a vacuum is applied between the sheet of plastic and the lay-up. The vacuum removes the entrapped air. Place the part in an oven or autoclave and the added results in higher fiber concentration and provides better adhesion between the layers.
