Northwest Renewable Energy Institute (NWREI) Tours Miles Fiberglass with 40+ students. Students got an upfront hands on experience seeing the various step of blade repairs. Tony and Bob went through each step explaining the various fiberglass layers and how building glass back into the blade works. Great questions from participants didn’t disappoint as we were hoping the students would expand their knowledge and maybe add this to their career path soon.
Lori introduced NWREI students about the company history and family operations over the last 60 years. Alex gave a tour and provided knowledge on all Products & Services Miles offers. Brian engaged in what is needed to take their Wind career to the next level. At the end of their visit we had some applications that students took with them about possible job opportunities currently at Miles. Instructor, Sam Ray was very appreciative for the tour and giving the students more opportunity to grow. Great to have a wonderful group of students from a variety of backgrounds.
