Miles August BBQ

Miles Fiberglass Kicked off a hot August afternoon with a company BBQ, Mexican style, along with a Cornhole tournament. The Miles family had a blast in getting another opportunity to eat, drink and see all of their employees and celebrate their hard work. Lowell and Janet had a chance to introduce themselves to new employees and mingle face to face! Lowell Miles said, “thank you to everyone on the culture committee for their hard work helping pull off another successful company event as well as thank you to all of our hard-working employees that help make this company feel like family with continued success & growth!”

The Miles culture club was in full swing setting up for the Aug 12 event. Alex lead the meetings and got everyone excited for the big day. Oscar and his wife prepared some traditional food including amazing horchata. Brian prepped the chicken and shrimp while Jerimiah and Manu took the helm grilling. It was a great effort from everyone inside and outside the culture club to make the BBQ happen.

Miles first cornhole tournament was also a blast with 22 employees tossing bags for the coveted champion spot 1st place. The bracket was narrowed down leading up to the event with the semi-finals; Forest vs Brian, Manu vs Don and Lucas vs Nick. After narrowing down the players to the top three, it was time for sudden death! 3, 2, 1 approach was easy, three players, 2 bags, first one to 31 points. Brian House came out on top and will get a custom t-shirt, Don come in 2nd and receive a metal & $10 Amazon card. Lucas rounded out in third. Great game!
